Today, Larundel continues to operate as a working sheep station, albeit on a reduced scale of about 4,000 acres, producing super fine merino wool, prime lambs and crops of canola, wheat and barley. The 100 square historic Victorian homestead of bluestone and polychrome brick quarried from the property was meticulously restored in the late 1980s.

The grounds include both formal English-style gardens and rolling green lawns, all of which are balanced with the natural environment.

The B-24 Liberator restoration is a memorial to all those who served with Liberators during WW2, for display in an accredited museum as part of the national collection.

At this stage, the volunteers doing the restoration have acquired some 90% of the airframe and 70% of its furniture and fittings from many parts of the world and from generous benefactors.

The Fund operates under the auspices of the National Trust of Australia and all donations of money, materials and parts are therefore tax deductible. You are invited to call in and see the great restoration work being carried out on the B-24 Liberator by the many volunteers on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm.

The restoration hangar is located on the corner of Princes Hwy and Farm Rd in Werribee. (Melways ref 205 F10.)
