Adding an image or photo

Once you've copied a picture or image as a file to your website you can add it to your website.

1.  First click on the page icon on the far left of the page and then choose the page to which you want to add an image or a photo. Click on edit in the particular content block that you want to add the image.

You will need to check that you have chosen the text category of "text w/image". If you haven't, click on this category which will not affect any text that you have added already.

2.  Click on the position of the image in relation to the text (this can be done through the media tab). This will then insert the image into the appropriate position.

3.  Click on the "Browse for files" button to select your image.
   

4.  If the image was a photo it was probably saved to a new folder created called photographs.  Click on the photos folder.

5.  Click on the "+" sign beside the image link so as to select the image.

6.  Your image should be shown in the "Images" list on your page.   

7.  Save your image and it should immediately be shown on your website.

Some of the screenshots in this help menu are shown as images which have been modified by utilising some of the other features associated with images.

These features include: the numbers of columns; borders; width and height.

It is best to experiment with these features to see how they work and what best suits your website. Use around 300pixels as a starting point for width and height.
