Copying files

To use pictures and media (or other files) on your website you first need to copy (upload) your files to your website.

1.  Begin by clicking on the "Filelist" icon on the far left hand side of your open page.

2.  It is a good idea to organise your files into folders. To add a folder click on Files and then click on New.

3.  Enter the name for your new folder.  Click on the "Create folders" button to create your folder.

You should see your new folder in your files area.

4.  Click on your "new folder" and then click on upload files icon (as per screenshot top right). You will then see a screenshot similar to the one below.

5.  Click on the "Browse" button to select a file, from your computer, to copy to your website.

6.  Select the file from your local computer.

7.  Once you've found your file click on the "Open" button to choose the file.

8.  Once the file has been chosen copy it to your website by clicking on the "Upload files" button.

Depending on the size of your file and the speed of your Internet connection you may have to wait for some time. Most browsers have an icon in the top right of their screens. If the icon is animated the file is still being copied to your website.

For large pdf files it is probably best to download one file at a time. This is the same process that you use to download photos and images.
